Babingtons partnered with Bar-Barella to create a delicious mint tea gin cocktail

We had fun partnering with Bar-Barella, Queen of the cocktails. She makes the most amazing cocktails right from her own home kitchen.

It’s the season for garden parties, and if you are looking for a delicious and refreshing cocktail to serve up to your guests then look no further.

She used Babingtons Moroccan Secret Gunpowder green tea and mint leaf to make this delicious Mint and Green Tea Cocktail.

Here’s the recipe:

You will need (4 servings):

-2 tsp Babingtons Blends Moroccan Secret

-1 1/2 cups of water

-Handful of chopped mint leaves

-Orange peel

-2 inches Ginger finely sliced

-1/3 cup of sugar

-Juice of 2 lemons

-200ml London Dry Gin

-Lemon slices and mint sprigs to garnish.

Now this cocktail requires a little bit of prep, so make sure you make your tea syrup ahead of time. The recipe is for 4 servings, but you could multiply and make a batch of the syrup. If you keep it in the fridge it will last up to a month.

-Add you water to a saucepan and bring to a simmer. Remove from the heat and add your Moroccan Secret Loose tea leaves. Leave to stoop for 3 mins.

-Strain out the leaves and return it to the saucepan.

-Add the mint leaves, orange peel, ginger and sugar to your pan and return to a simmer.

-Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

-Leave it to cool for at least an hour.

-Strain out the solids ( this is where you could bottle it up and keep it in the fridge)

Now it’s time to make the cocktail…

-In a pitcher add your tea syrup, lemon juice and gin.

-Fill with ice and stir.

-Serve into ice filled rocks glass and garnish with a slice of lemon and mint sprig

Enjoy!
