What are your go to tea cocktails?
We have created three cocktails and one mocktail, using three different Babingtons Blends teas;
Babingtons Special Blend, our historical blends of black teas, which we directly infuse in rum for 5-6 hours as our base to make the version of the classic Daiquiri. Babingtons Cherry Rose green tea, which is infused for 5-6 hours in gin to make our version of Gin fizz. Babingtons White Passion white tea, which we infuse in vodka to make our unique version of Vodka Sour and lastly our Babingtons Mocktail made with Babingtons Moroccan Secret green tea and mint leaves which are infused with sugar, lime and fresh mint leaves to make our version of the Virgin Mojito. Refreshing and super tasty!
What Are Your Top Tips for Making the Perfect cocktail?
Infusing the Babingtons blends with the correct alcohol at room temperature for at least 5 hours. This gives the alcohol the unique taste of the blend of tea you choose with the kick of the alcohol.
What Tasty Snacks Do You Like To Serve With Cocktails?
We make curried spiced dry roasted almonds and handmade crisps served warm with a sprinkle of our lapsang soughing smoky tea. A delicious snack can also be boneless chicken bites made by taking the meet off the chicken wings, covering bites with beaten egg, and then passing them in a lime and parsley bread crumb mixture and frying or oven cook.
What New Cocktail Trends Are Emerging In Rome?
We are currently working on creating 2 - 3 new cocktails with some more of our blends and possibly one of our herbal blends to make a mocktail.
