Have you visited Glasgow's Willow Tea Rooms?
The Tea by Anna
Have you visited Glasgow's Willow Tea Rooms, designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1903?
The tea rooms first opened their doors in 1903 and are the only surviving Tea Rooms designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, for local entrepreneur and patron Miss Catherine Cranston. In 2014 they were purchased by The Willow Tea Rooms Trust, in order to prevent the forced sale of the building, closure of the Tea Rooms and loss of its stunning contents and designs to collectors.
Today visitors can enjoy locally sourced, homemade and home-baked food including a traditional and savoury afternoon tea experience. There's also a 'free from menu' catering for gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian visitors.
