The ROYALTEA Bundle contains both a full tin of loose leaf tea and an extra refill pouch of two blends. From the moment you open your tins you will be carried away by the freshness of the Royal White Passion and its bursting aroma of tropical fruits, peach and flowers and by the intensity of our citrussy and subtly sweet Imperial Earl Grey.

The ROYALTEA BUNDLE is a surprisingly intense and embracing experience for your senses.

Royal White Passion is a mothwatering blend prepared only with the precious, young buds of the tea plant, the famous white Chinese Pai Mu Tan, beautifully blended with passion fruit, apple pieces, peach, rosehip and orange and decorated with pretty flower petals. Ideal at any time of the day, we can’t think of a more royal way to treat yourself at tea time!
As for the Imperial Earl Grey, when briefing our blender for the creation of this recipe, we were looking for a premium black tea with bergamot in which the flavour of the tea wasn’t overwhelmed by the scent of the other ingredients. As a base we chose a Ceylon black tea from Sri Lanka to which we then added bergamot essence, lemon peel and flower petals, to make our blend delicious and good looking. So just sit down, relax and feel like...royaltea of course!

ROYAL WHITE PASSION
Taste: light, fresh, sweet
Predominant Hints: peach and pear
Colour: pink
Goes well with: savouries, sandwiches, fresh salads. Sweets: Pavlova, biscuits, lemon biscuits, chocolate
Time of day: ideal all day
Beneficial properties: white tea is rich in polyphenols and antioxidants
Preparation Quantity: 2g for 150 ml of water
Temperature: 95°
Infusion: 1-2 minutes
Storage: keep in a cool, dry and dark place, in an airtight container

Chinese White Tea (40%), Chinese Pai Mu Dan White Tea (20%), Freeze-dried Passionfruit (maltodextrin, passionfruit concentrate, natural flavouring, citric acid E330) (15%), Apple Pieces, Freeze-dried Peach, Passion Flower Leaf (3%), Sunflower Petals, Hibiscus, Rosehip, Orange Peel, Natural Flavouring

IMPERIAL EARL GREY
Taste: intense and citrusy, with a subtle sweetness Predominant Hints: bergamot
Colour: medium brown
Goes well with: savouries: smoked salmon, wild rice salad, salads
Sweets: biscuits, Apple cake and apple pie, carrot cake, lemon pie, key lime pie
Time of day: ideal morning and afternoon
Beneficial properties: black tea, known as “red tea” in China, is produced with fully oxidized leaves of the Camelia Sinensis. The tea plant contains vitamins, minerals, polyphenols and caffeine, which help us improve performance and concentration. Common thought is that black tea contains more caffeine than green or white teas; this however is not the case. Caffeine is present in all teas and the quantity of the caffeine depends on many factors such as the quality of the teas, the altitude (often high grown teas are more premium), the terroir, the age of the tea plants, and most importantly the brewing (water temperature and infusion time).

We all deserve to treat ourselves every now and then and Babingtons ROYALTEA Bundle is a healthy and flavoursome way of doing exactly this! Royal White Passion and Imperial Earl Grey are two intense and slightly sweet blends, but very different in their own ways. Royal White Passion is precious Pai Mu Tan white Chinese tea, beautifully blended with passion fruit, apple pieces, peach, rosehip and orange and decorated with pretty flower petals. Ideal at any time of the day, I suggest you first try it without any sugar or honey (and of course no milk!) to really appreciate its unique taste. Babingtons Imperial Earl Grey is an intense and citrussy blend of black Ceylon tea and bergamot, to which we have also added lemon peel and flower petals. The good news about this blend is that you can actually taste the tea as it is not overwhelmed by the bergamot. Very balanced and delicious both with sugar and with milk, if you do want to add a citrus I recommend orange not lemon! Feeling like royaltea is really quite easy after all, don't you agree?
