African Nights is our best seller herbal tea. Scented naturally with lemon myrtle, hibiscus, orange peel and almond natural flavouring, you can’t help falling in love with its creamy, sweet flavour! And the good news is, its all natural and super healthy. The red fruits and almond, mixed in with the popular Rooibos little red needles, gift you with a creamy and intense herbal tea, which is deliciuos both hot and iced. Ideal for all the family, African Nights Herbal Tea is a must!

Herbal Teas are a relatively new entry in the story of Babingtons as a result of our clients asking for a caffeine free tea. Since we introduced them in our shop, they have been growing in sales and are now part of the Babingtons official selection of blends

But let’s find out more about African Nights…Rooibos is a South African herb, which only grows in a small mountain area, in the region of the Western Cape province, at approximately 200 km from Cape Town.

The name Rooibos means “red bush” because of its copper needle-like leaves, which infused, give a sweet earthy flavour and a dark orange liquor. The ideal base for Babingtons naturally sweet, and at the same time healthy, n.1 herbal tea.

Sometimes Rooibos is referred to as red tea, but in actual fact it is not a tea at all. First of all it does not come from the tea plant, the Camelia Sinsensis, and secondly it contains no caffeine. It does however contain minerals, fluorides, vitamins and a certain amount of antioxidants, which explains why many people enjoy Rooibos instead of green tea or coffee.

Because of its benefits and its naturally sweet taste, African Nights is ideal for all the family, even for the youngest. You can choose to enjoy it hot or iced, at any time of the day because it is caffeine free.
