All our teas are 100% natural. There is absoultely nothing artificial in them and their never will. Our packaging is biodegradable, recyclable and reusable like our caddies. Even our pyramid tea bags are plant based and designed to bring out the best in our natural teas and blends.
Our story started in 1893 when two tenacious, determined women defied convention to create something special in the heart of Rome. At a time where women’s participation was limited and in a country where tea could only be found in pharmacies, Babingtons Tea Rooms became a fixture of the Eternal City welcoming artists, aristocrats, actors and anyone in search of a quiet haven from the hustle and bustle of Roman life.

We work closely with our growers and partners to hand-select and hand-blend teas carefully chosen from far flung lands. We only source from those that sustain ethical practices to cultivate only the very best of tea leaves.
We’re mad about the details. Call us fastidious, discriminating, or perhaps even obsessed. We’ve been known to bring water from Rome to England for testing with our blends to make sure we know exactly how it will taste in the local environment.
